With food and entertainment available entirely on demand (thanks, Seamless and Netflix), you may think consumers prefer a night in. However, our research says many consumers prefer the opposite - especially when it comes to inviting guests over and entertaining for the night. In fact, in a recent survey of more than 19,000 consumers, we found that 88 percent of people entertain guests in their home at least once per year, and 34 percent host guests as much as 24 times or more per year.
