In 2009, it began with a vision to use emerging technology and social channels to amplify the voice of the consumer. Facebook and Twitter were new to the marketing radar and Instagram and Pinterest weren’t even a thing. Yet social media’s potential was increasingly evident. We recognized the huge opportunity to redirect the power of word-of-mouth marketing to these promising new channels, so we created Smiley360 – our community of now one million consumer influencers.
While our business has expanded, Smiley360 still remains a core component of our DNA, and we’re so excited to announce that we’ve reached our one-millionth member.
